The product

Nine parts, one form builder

Every part below is on the free plan from your first form. Pricing only changes file storage, branding and team size.

Question types

21 question types, and every one of them is free

Text, contact details, choices, scales, files and plain statements. Each type carries its own validation and its own shortcut, so the person answering never has to hunt for the next field.

Phone Number shows a country flag and dial code. Address lets you switch individual sub-fields off. Multiple Choice can cap how many options someone picks, and Dropdown is a custom control rather than a native select, so it looks the same in every browser. If you are weighing up which to use where, the guide to survey question types goes through them one by one.

The Phone Number type validates against the dial code the respondent picks, so a bad number is caught before it reaches your inbox.

The builder

Three columns, no modal maze

The step list on the left, a live preview in the middle, and one right panel that switches between Question, Design, Logic, Connect, Share and Results. Nothing hides behind a settings screen you have to go looking for.

The preview is the real runtime at 1:1, with desktop, tablet and mobile toggles, so what you see is what your respondent gets. Saving is deliberate: Upform warns you before you leave with unsaved changes rather than writing half-finished questions to a live form. When the form is ready, the tabs run Builder → Share → Results in the order you actually work in. The same panel is where you set your branding and theme.

How the runtime works

After the submit

The response does not stop at your dashboard

Every submission lands in a searchable response table and, at the same moment, in whatever tool your team already works in.

  • Google Sheets appends a row, Slack posts a message, Notion creates a database row with your own field mapping.
  • HubSpot creates or updates a contact; Mailchimp and Klaviyo subscribe to a list, with tags and double opt-in.
  • n8n and custom webhooks receive a POST signed with an HMAC-SHA256 X-Upform-Signature header.
  • Responses search, filter by form and date, export to CSV, and open in a deep-linkable side drawer.
  • Contacts builds a directory of respondents: name, email, company, submission count, last seen.

Every integration connects with your own account over OAuth, and every one is included on the free plan. See the full list of integrations, or read what the numbers tell you in form analytics.

Google Analytics is tracking setup today, not event dispatch. Google Forms is a one-way import into Upform. Calendly and Excel Online are on the roadmap.

How it works

Build it, brand it, share it, read it

Four steps, and then the same four again on the next version of the form.

  1. Build it

Start from an empty form or clone one of the form templates onto your account in a click. Add questions from the list of 21, drag them into order, and set the logic rules that decide who sees what.

  2. Brand it

Add your logo and background, set the colors and the font, and choose how the progress indicator looks. Save it as a theme so every form after this one starts in your brand rather than in ours.

  3. Share it

Publish to a public link, embed the form in a page, or paste it into an email. The runtime holds a short branded loading overlay so your font, logo and background are in place before the first question paints.

  4. Read it

Watch completion rate, average completion time and the per-question drop-off funnel. Rewrite the question people quit on, republish, and compare. That loop is what moves a form conversion rate, not a prettier button.

Frequently asked questions

What is an online form builder?

An online form builder is a tool that lets you create a form in a browser, publish it on a link or embed it in a page, and collect the answers in one place without writing code. Upform does that, and shows the form one question at a time instead of as a long page of fields. You build it, style it, publish it and read the results in the same app.

Is Upform free, or is it a free trial?

The free plan is free forever, not a trial. It includes unlimited forms, unlimited responses, all 21 question types, conditional logic, every integration and 100 MB of file storage, with Upform branding shown on your forms. Pro is $12 a month at the launch price, half of the $24 list price, and adds unlimited storage, branding removal and up to 5 team members.

Do I need to code to build a form with Upform?

No. Upform is a no code form builder: you add questions from a list, drag them into order, and set logic rules with dropdowns. The only place code appears is the embed snippet, and Upform writes that for you.

How many question types does Upform have?

Twenty-one. They cover short and long text, email, number, phone with a country dial code, full name, company name, website, date and address, plus single choice, multiple choice, dropdown, yes/no, rating, star rating, slider scale, picture choice and file upload, and two display-only steps: statement and thank you. All 21 are on the free plan.

Can I add conditional logic on the free plan?

Yes. Conditional logic is included on every plan, with 20 operators covering text, numbers, dates, choices and uploads. Each rule combines its conditions with AND or OR, and can show a question, hide it, jump to another step or end the form.

Where do responses go after someone submits?

Every response is saved to a table in your account that you can search, filter by form or date, export to CSV and open row by row in a side drawer. At the same time it can be pushed to Google Sheets, Slack, Notion, HubSpot, Mailchimp, Klaviyo, monday.com, n8n or a custom webhook. Respondents are also aggregated into Contacts with their name, email, company and submission count.
