FreeNo entry cap on any Upform plan

A Wufoo alternative built for how forms look in 2026

Wufoo has been collecting entries since 2006 and it still does it reliably. But the free plan stops at 100 entries a month across 5 forms, and the form itself is still a single page of fields. Upform gives you unlimited forms, unlimited responses and one question per screen, for $0.

Unlimited entriesNo field limitLogic included

Free forever, with no monthly ceiling and nothing to cancel. Pro is $12/month when you want your branding on its own.

The short answer

Upform vs Wufoo, in 60 words

Upform is a free Wufoo alternative. Wufoo is a dependable classic: a single-page form, native payments and a report builder, on a free plan capped at 5 forms, 10 fields and 100 entries a month. Upform asks one question per screen, has no entry cap on any plan, and includes all 21 question types, conditional logic and every integration for $0.

Upform vs Wufoo, feature by feature

Wufoo counts entries on every tier. Upform counts nothing. That single difference explains most of this table, so here is the rest of it too.

Wufoo plans and limits checked September 2026 on Wufoo's public pricing page; Upform's on our own pricing page. Plans change, so verify both before you decide.

The three reasons

Why people look for a Wufoo alternative

Almost nobody leaves Wufoo because it broke. They leave because of a number, a ceiling, or a form that looks its age.

The entry counter never stops

One hundred entries a month sounds generous until a campaign lands or a newsletter goes out. And the counter follows you up the tiers: every paid plan has a monthly allowance, so growth keeps costing more. Upform has no counter to hit on any plan.

Ten fields is not a form

The free plan allows 10 fields per form, and a name, email, phone, company and a couple of real questions already spend most of them. You end up trimming questions to fit a plan rather than to fit the person answering. Upform does not limit fields at all.

The form looks like paperwork

A wall of labeled inputs tells a visitor exactly how long this will take, and a good share of them decide not to start. Our note on form abandonment covers why, and form design best practices covers what to do instead.

The format

Twenty fields on one page, or twenty screens of one question

Same questions, very different feeling. A Wufoo form shows everything at once, so the visitor judges the whole thing before typing a character. Upform shows one step, then the next, and the progress bar does the reassuring.

  • Enter to continue, Shift+Enter for a newline, 1–9 and A–Z to pick a choice, Y and N for yes-no
  • A one-second branded loading overlay, so your logo, font and background are in place before question one paints
  • Full-width targets and a sticky back/next bar on phones, where most of your entries come from
  • Your colors, Google font, corner radius and progress style (a bar, dots or a percentage)
  • Invisible reCAPTCHA v3 on public submissions, so there is no puzzle between a person and the send button

Being straight with you

What Wufoo still does better

Wufoo has been online since 2006 and joined SurveyMonkey in 2011. Four things it does that Upform does not, and you should know them before you move.

Payments inside the form

Wufoo has native payment fields, so an order or a donation can be paid for in the same flow that collects it. Upform has none. If money has to move inside the form, Wufoo wins outright and no amount of free responses changes that.

The Report Builder

Wufoo turns entries into live charts and shareable reports you assemble yourself. Upform's analytics answer a narrower question (views, starts, completion rate, where people quit), and everything else comes out as CSV.

Two decades of uptime

Forms that have been running since 2006 are still running. That track record, and the certifications and support tiers that come with a company of SurveyMonkey's size, is a real reason to stay if a form is load-bearing for your organization.

Deep field and rule options

Wufoo's field library and rule builder have been added to for years, and there are validation and encryption options Upform does not match. Upform covers the common ground well; it does not cover every corner Wufoo has grown into.

Migration

How to move a Wufoo form to Upform in four steps

There is no Wufoo importer. Upform's only import is a one-way one from Google Forms. In practice a rebuild takes fifteen to thirty minutes, because Wufoo's field names and Upform's question types line up almost one for one.

  1. Export your entries first

Download everything Wufoo holds as a spreadsheet before you change a setting. Your answer history should never depend on a subscription staying active, and the export takes a minute.

  2. Split the page into steps

Take the fields in order and give each one its own step. Single Line Text becomes Short Text, Paragraph becomes Long Text, and Wufoo's dedicated email, phone, number, date, address and file fields all have a direct match among the 21 types.

  3. Rebuild the rules

Open the Logic panel and recreate each Wufoo rule with the 20 operators. Conditions group with AND or OR, and the four actions are show, hide, jump and end form. Conditional logic is on the free plan, so nothing here needs an upgrade.

  4. Publish and redirect

Set your logo, colors and font in Design, save it as a reusable theme, then publish and swap the URL wherever the old form was linked or embedded. Keep the Wufoo form live for a week so nothing in flight is lost.

After the submit

Entries go where your team already works

Every destination below is on the free plan, and each one connects with your own account rather than a shared Upform key. No automation subscription in the middle.

Responses also live in Upform: a searchable table per form with date and form filters, a deep-linkable drawer for every answer, and CSV export whenever you want the raw file. See the full integrations directory.

Fit check

Who should switch, and who should stay

Two minutes here saves you an afternoon of rebuilding a form in the wrong tool.

Switch to Upform if

  • You have hit 100 entries in a month, or you can see the month where you will
  • You are running more than five forms, or cutting questions to stay inside ten fields
  • Most of your traffic is on a phone and the single-page form is losing people
  • You collect CVs, briefs or images and want file uploads without a paid tier
  • You are a nonprofit, school, freelancer or small team with no software budget to defend

Stay on Wufoo if

  • The form takes payment: Upform collects the order, it does not process the card
  • You live in the Report Builder and need charts you assemble and share yourself
  • You need scoring or calculated totals: Upform's logic routes, it does not compute
  • The form has to sit on your own domain: Upform publishes on an upform.com link or as an embed
  • More than five people need their own seat, or you are already deep in the SurveyMonkey suite

Frequently asked questions

Is there a free Wufoo alternative?

Yes. Upform's free plan is permanent, not a trial, and it has no entry cap: unlimited forms, unlimited responses, all 21 question types, conditional logic and every integration. Wufoo's free plan allows 5 forms and 100 entries a month at the time of writing. The only things Upform holds back for Pro are unlimited file storage, branding removal and team seats.

How many entries does Wufoo's free plan allow?

Wufoo's free plan is capped at 100 entries a month across 5 forms, with 10 fields per form, at the time of writing. Paid tiers raise the ceiling but still count entries against a monthly allowance. Upform has no entry cap on any plan, free included. Limits change, so check Wufoo's own pricing page before you decide.

Can I import my Wufoo forms into Upform?

Not automatically. Upform has a one-way import from Google Forms only, so a Wufoo form is rebuilt by hand. It is quicker than it sounds, because the field types line up closely and most forms take fifteen to thirty minutes including the rules.

Does Upform have conditional logic like Wufoo's rules?

Yes, and it costs nothing. You build a flat list of rules, each one an AND or OR group of conditions, using 20 operators that cover text, numbers, dates, choices and file uploads. Four actions are available: show a question, hide it, jump to another step, or end the form. There is no scoring or calculation engine.

Can I take payments the way I can on Wufoo?

No. Wufoo has native payment fields and Upform has none, so if money has to change hands inside the form itself, Wufoo is the better tool. If you only need to capture the order details and invoice afterwards, an Upform order form does that and costs nothing to run.

What happens to the entries already in my Wufoo account?

They stay in Wufoo, so export them before you change anything. Wufoo lets you download entries as a spreadsheet, and that file is yours to keep whatever you do next. New answers land in Upform's own responses table, with search, form and date filters, a per-response drawer and CSV export.

How much is Upform Pro, and is there a free trial?

Pro is $12 a month, a launch offer at half the $24 list price. There is no free trial because the free plan is permanent rather than a countdown. Pro adds unlimited file storage, branding removal, up to five team members and early access to new features. Online checkout is not live yet, so you email hello@upform.com with the subject Upform Pro upgrade request, and we set the account up by hand, usually the same day.
